MEET ERIC

Meet Eric

________________________________________
I am enthusiastically running for re-election for Cedar Park City Council Place 4 to continue the important work of serving our citizens.

I relish this opportunity to continue representing my fellow citizens in the fine city I’ve called home for more than 17 years. We have so much to celebrate over the past year, yet so much left to do. During my current term on city council,
have diligently and collaboratively worked with my colleagues on many important items, including our city budget, economic expansion and opportunity for our citizens, as well as our city’s long term sustainable growth.

Our city has witnessed considerable evolution and change since my family moved to Cedar Park in 2006. Cedar Park is undergoing considerable growth and expansion, and our city is well positioned for future growth due to the hard work and planning by your city council and city staff. It has been a tremendous pleasure, honor and privilege for me to be a part of this critical process, and I look forward to continuing leveraging my considerable city and business
experience to further our progress and planning during my next term.

Our challenges equal our opportunities, however, as
constraints such as finite
land resources, mobility, and expansion of essential services collide with this great growth opportunity. In addition, the next 5-10 years will require both creative and innovative development to meet this expected growth while differentiating and expanding our tax base. Accordingly, I think it is vital to have an experienced, engaged, and collaborative city council working hand in hand with our excellent city staff to capitalize on this vision for the future. With an annual budget of roughly $200 million, Cedar Park and its citizens deserve only the very best in municipal leadership and governance.

I have spent much of my professional career cultivating the traits and tools which have served me well on city council. These include the art of active dialogue, critical conversation, and community stakeholder engagement.
In addition, my leadership training, non-profit and volunteer leadership roles, as well as my experience working with both business and community leaders enables me to navigate issues and opportunities with greater comfort and a sense of purpose.

I will continue to represent ALL citizens of Cedar Park, not just those who vote for me, and I will continue to focus on and promote constructive and efficient non-partisan dialogue on the dais in support of better livability, workability, and mobility for all those who live, work and play in Cedar Park. I enthusiastically support the continued growth of our city, and I will continue to ensure that our
growth is a byproduct of smart, comprehensive,
and effective planning.

I have been blessed in so many ways. I have a wonderful family, which includes two fantastic children and a loving wife of 31 years, an abundance of friends, and an opportunity of a lifetime to found and run Boyce & Associates Wealth Consulting, a growing Cedar Park-based small business that was nominated for “Best New Business” of the year by the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce in
2018 and won “Best Small Business” in 2019.

My journey to this point has been rich with experience. This, in turn, has helped to shape my philosophy toward community development and engagement. It has made me appreciate the contributions of amazing and dedicated volunteers who do so much for so many organizations in and around our community, and it has opened my eyes to some of the most thoughtful, caring, and committed people
that I have ever met.

Our citizens are the most important stakeholders in our future growth. They have great ideas and insight, and they provide valuable constructive feedback. I believe my job as an elected official is to provide an effective sounding board for their thoughts to be heard, their viewpoints respected, and their interests represented in the decisions we make.

I have great confidence in in our ability as a city to both realize our opportunity and potential, as well as meet our challenges. We have an exemplary city staff, amazing first responders, great businesses, compassionate non-profits, and strong servant leaders all around. I believe that promoting a solid platform for mutual respect, collaboration and dialogue will only make us stronger as a
community. There’s a reason that Cedar Park is consistently ranked as one of the best small cities in the land, and I want to keep us there!

No politics, just results.

I humbly ask for your support and your vote on May 4th, 2024. (Early voting
April 22nd through April 30th)
